Suredatum Awarded Placement on Office of Government Procurement (OGP) Framework

SureDatum is delighted to announce its successful placement on the;Office of Government Procurement (OGP) framework for Software Asset Management Services into the Irish Public Sector

The OGP came to market to establish an alternative to the license advice provided by major enterprise software publishers, including Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and other vendors. There was a specific emphasis on providing independent advice on the various software licensing options available to the public sector.

The Framework was divided into three Lots: Oracle, Microsoft and Other Vendors Software Asset Management Services.  Suredatum successfully placed on all three lots.  This was made more extraordinary given the fact that SureDatum were unique in being the only bidder to not be a software reseller.

“Public Sector organisations in Ireland are looking for alternatives to the purchasing advice being provided by the resellers operating on behalf of the big software publishers. Services that reduce IT costs, compliance risks and software overspending make a solid foundation for any purchasing decisions”; said Piaras MacDonnell, Founder & CEO of Suredatum.

To be included in the SAM Framework SureDatum had to provide documented successful evidence of its functional and technical capabilities in the following areas:

  • Expert knowledge in the license models of a range of software vendors including: Microsoft, Oracle, IBM and a range of other smaller vendors.
  • Experience in collecting and using data from a broad range of tools including: SCCM, SNOW, Flexera, LANdesk and Nagios.
  • Success for medium and large organisations in reducing license costs and compliance risks.
  • The ability to collect inventory from large and complex networks.
  • An understanding of the unique contracts types within the Public Sector
  • Innovative management and on-going monitoring of licensing positions and compliance risks
